Who Should Attend

Workers and managers in professional service industries, considering or pursuing an alternative path to agiility. Applying Kanban at the team level gets the team's invisible work organized, gives people relief from overburdening so that they can get things done with quality and pride of workmanship

 

Curriculum

  • Sustainability agenda, Kanban principles and practices
  • Basic Kanban concepts, such as the visual board, WIP, and local cycle time metrics
  • Conducting Kanban-style standup meetings and replenishment
  • Kanban board designs, WIP limits and risks
  • Proto-Kanban patterns and their benefits
  • Limitations of team-level Kanban, understanding full Kanban systems, service-orientation, what more can be done with Kanban for customer satisfaction and business performance and how to proceed there
  • The class is taught with interactive exercises, games and simulations.

Certification

This training class is certified by Kanban University (LKU) as TKP level training. Participants receive standard LKU certificates of class completion. LKU awards the Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) credential to those successfully completed this class.

Attendee substitutions are allowed anytime until the start of the class

Refunds are not provided but you can choose to attend it at a later date.

All registered attendees have the option to attend 2 refresher classes for free either remote or in person.

About the Trainer

Drawing on more than a decade of experience across a diverse range of industries, Aparna combines her passion for teaching with first hand implementation to guide her clients to real world constraints. She continues to facilitate and learn from Medium and Large enterprise transformations from domains as varied as Automotive, Finance, Retail, Railway, Energy and Airlines. She currently works for Southwest Airlines as an Agile Coach. Aparna continues to evolve with changing environments and challenging problems. She teaches Kanban and SAFe courses and has even Kanbanized her family and life : )
