Course Description: The Kanban Method is a management method to improve service delivery, catalyze improvements and evolve a business to be “fit for purpose”. In this class, you will learn simple concepts that are powerful in helping you organize, understand and manage your work.

During this two-day interactive, you will learn how to design a Kanban system and initiate change with Kanban. You will learn the basic concepts of flow, pull, and collaborative improvement. You will also learn how to become faster and more responsive through better risk management and governance. You will gain practical insights on how to implement or improve Kanban within your organization and reduce the bottlenecks that obstruct your development process.

Certificate issued: Standard certificate of completion only. This is part 1 of a 2-part credential certificate program for KMP.

Prerequisites: None.

Format: The course is a mix of presentation, simulation, and exercises.s

Learning Objectives:

• Knowledge of the Kanban method (principles, practices, basic concepts, metrics)

• Experience from working in and at Kanban systems gained in a multi-hours simulation

• Knowledge of the approach to design and implement Kanban systems (STATIK)

• Being able to design and improve basic Kanban systems
