Kanban System Design (KMP I) Workshop
Learn Kanban fundamentals, experience flow in a powerful simulation, and design your Kanban system for optimal flow and faster delivery

The Kanban Method as developed and promoted by the Kanban University has become a powerful method for teams, departments and organizations to:

  • Deliver faster and more responsively
  • Increase shared ownership of deliverables
  • Connect daily work to customer value
  • Improve predictability with flow metrics

Kanban System Design (KSD) is a foundational Kanban workshop that provides you with the knowledge and tools you need to implement Kanban in your work and business context. Also referred to as the Kanban Management Professional I (KMP I), this 3-session workshop (14 hours total live instructor-led time + self-paced learning) serves as the first step in achieving full certification as a Kanban Management Professional (KMP) with Kanban University.

Workshop Summary
Through hands-on activities, structured small-group dialogue, and real-world examples, you will develop an understanding of Kanban principles and practices and gain insights on how to apply Kanban to increase quality, speed workflow, and optimize the delivery of market-relevant, high-quality services and products to your customers.

Central to this KSD is Okaloa’s Flowlab simulation, which delivers an experiential understanding of Kanban to learners of all backgrounds and experience levels. Suitable for any professional who is responsible for product/project delivery or is part of a delivery or service team, the Kanban System Design (KSD) workshop prepares you to design and adopt a full customer-focused service delivery Kanban system.
