About the course

Get the brand new Kanban Management Professional (KMP) certification from Lean Kanban University (LKU).  This 2-day hands-on course follows the official Lean Kanban University (LKU) training materials produced by David J Anderson, Mike Burrows and other leading Lean Kanban experts.

The Kanban Management Professional (KMP2) is the 2nd course required to obtain the Kanban Management Professional accreditation. A prerequisite of this course is to have completed the 2-day Certified Kanban Systems Design (KMP1) before doing this course. If you do not have your KMP1 component, LKU will not be able to confirm your certification.

In the course, you will be involved in regular hands-on exercises and discussions that will focus on the rollout and daily operation of a Kanban system.  You will consider what type of Kanban initiative is most appropriate for your organisation and how to manage and evolve it over time without trauma.

You will learn how to improve agility with asymmetrical commitment and cadences.

Agenda

The course follows the official LKU Certified Kanban Foundation syllabus. During the two days you will have ample opportunities to discuss and experience the following topics:

  • Building an Information Flow: the 7 Cadences
  • Dealing with resistance to WIP limits
  • Understanding asymmetrical commitment
  • Rollout phases for a Kanban initiative
  • Developing a service orientation
  • Managing evolutionary change
There is no exam at the end and, upon completion, you will receive the Kanban Management Professional (KMP) accreditation. A globally-recognised accreditation that you can use as official recognition of your achievement.
