This training is intended for managers, developers, testers, POs, ScrumMasters, and anybody else who is working on product development (including new product development and maintenance of existing products) who would like to learn the foundations of Scrum, Kanban and Scrumban.

What will you learn?

This 3-day course helps you learn Scrum, Kanban and Scrumban in depth, from theory to practice.

Scrum is an iterative Agile method that has greatly contributed to improving software development for organizations and teams that adopted it. However, in some environments, Scrum’s benefits are limited and its adoption may be disruptive.

Kanban is a flow-based method for managing knowledge work. It is based on the Lean principles and it has been proven in the world as an effective method for both product development and maintenance activities. Coupled with the Agile values and principles, Kanban can work together well with any other process, including Scrum, Lean Startup, XP etc.

Scrumban is Kanban in a context where Scrum is also used. Scrumban has an evolutionary capability, providing distinct advantages compared to other approaches for improving the management of product development.

Day 1 is a Scrum introduction. For the ones who are experienced in Scrum, or have taken one day or more Scrum classes, they can start from Day2.

Day 2 and Day3 is a typical Lean Kanban foundation class that includes an introduction to Scrumban  and Scrumban systems design. It’s recommended for students to have read the book <Kanban: Successful Evolutionary Change for Your Technology Business> prior to the training.
